Summary of Qualifications:

Founder of www.evaluari-arta.ro, an online platform for appraising personal property, 2014 – present

Head of Collectibles Department at Artmark, in Bucharest, Romania, the most prominent auction house in Eastern Europe, 2011 – 2020. In this role, I personally organized auction events of memorabilia, militaria, archeology, antique and medieval coins, firearms, vintage cars etc. This included sourcing, researching and cataloguing, setting price estimates and offering support to the sales team. I gradually formed a team of three members, while we expanded our auctions to old books and manuscripts, orientalism, rogues and fashion items.  

Conservation specialist at the National Peasant’s Museum in Bucharest, Romania, since 2024.

Appraisal Experience:

I have appraised over 12,000 personal property items, of which more than half have been artworks from museums.

I was appointed expert witness in Romania’s most complex case involving personal property, State vs Bucharest Metropolitan Library, including over 800 old and modern books, paintings and collectibles.

I co-authored the “Heritage Property Valuation Guide”, published by ANEVAR in 2016.
